Monthly Club Meeting February 12, 2026 5:30-8 PM Meet Charlie Craven

Tonight's guest speaker is Charlie Craven, owner of Charlies Fly Box fly shop in Colorado and best known as an innovative and masterful fly designer and tier, who began tying flies when he was just 8 years old. Charlie is also a gifted teacher and writer. His book, Basic Fly Tying, is a wonderful introduction to the tools, materials and techniques for tying modern flies. His You Tube tutorials are fabulous demonstrations of tying technique. Charlie has years of experience as a guide and loves to fish the salt as well as his native western streams. If you've watched his videos, you know that he is also charmingly quick with a quip. Even if you are not a fly tier, we guarantee that you'll enjoy his presentation.
